What People Are Buzzin’ About!

“Bumble Bee” Bob Weil and wife BJ have created a bright and airy to-go/on-the-go eatery that interprets the healthy fast-food movement artfully…the large, creamy and flavorful burrito grande ranked as one of the best I’ve had.

– The Santa Fe New Mexican

“Voted Best Of Santa Fe ” – 6 Years in a row! Lucky for Santa Fe that we have two locations of Bumble Bee’s, locally owned joints where you can get a big, fat burrito or a heaping shrimp salad at the driveup window, without spending a ton of money or lowering your high standards… Whatever you order, be sure to hit the chip and salsa bar again for an extra slathering. The smoky roasted tomato salsa is irresistible… Everybody loves Bumble Bee’s. It’s fast, easy and cheap enough to do so often you’re afraid they’ll rename the house salad after you…it’s a steal.

– The Santa Fe Reporter

The ingredients are of high quality and it’s a perfect place for a quick, quality meal…Tasty, filling, and cheap, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients… It is just the place for a fast meal that is light years ahead of typical burger joints in both taste and nutrition.

– ABQ Style

In the welcome vanguard of fast food that is fresh and flavorful, Bumble Bee’s has quickly delighted locals with its super-fresh Cal-Mex style food, including mahimahi tacos, mammoth burritos with a wide range of fillings, roasted chicken with cilantro-lime rice, and char-grilled trout platters…In spring and summer, nothing surpasses a taco of succulent lamb – a gift to New Mexico cuisine from the Pueblo Indian culture – like that at Bumble Bee’s Baja Grill.

– The New York Times

I’ve gotta tell you, my semi-regular trips up to Santa Fe now include a very regular stop (and sometimes two) for Bob’s killer fish tacos. Sometimes I go drive-through, and sometimes I eat in. My friends and family report that other items on the menu are amazing too, but I wouldn’t know – I’m too fish taco-obsessed.

Try anything baked by Katalyna Weil. She does a mean cowboy crunch and Mexican espresso brownies. I love the cowgirl kisses.

Have You Eaten at Bumble Bee’s Baja Grill Yet? – Well, you should. The award-winning Santa Fe import has been around for five weeks in Albuquerque, and Duke City converts are swarming around the new spot at San Mateo and Montgomery. It’s 100-percent local and seriously good eats.

– Weekly Alibi

This tranquil 400-year-old city is packed with history and culture…go for a hike and work up a hearty appetite for flavorful fast food at Bumble Bee’s Baja Grill.

– Cosmopolitan

This new “beestro” offers a refreshing twist on fast food. It’s actually healthy! The secret? Tacos are made Mexican style, with a tortilla folded around quality steak, fish, and poultry grilled with veggies. You pick from an array of salsas.

– Frommers

Bumble Bee’s has quickly delighted locals with its super-fresh Cal-Mex style food, including mahimahi tacos, mammoth burritos with a wide range of fillings, roasted chicken with cilantro-lime rice, and char-grilled trout platters … 4.4 Stars out of 5.
